Reverend Catherine Snipes Washington, born April 28, 1941, in Brundidge, Alabama, to the late O.B. Miller Sr. and Janie P. Faulk Miller, peacefully departed this life on August 28, 2020, in Moncks Corner, SC. A devoted servant of God, she answered the call to ministry, becoming a Local Itinerant Elder at Moncks Corner AME Church, where she also served in the Jubilee Choir and on the Usher Board. Catherine worked in healthcare and administration, including roles at the Medical University of South Carolina. A loving mother, grandmother, and wife, she raised her family in faith, cherished home decorating, gardening, and family gatherings, and touched many lives with her wisdom and warmth. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and love.

John Walter Miller was born on November 5, 1956, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, to Rev. Catherine Miller Washington and John Henry Middleton, Sr. He passed away suddenly on November 22, 2016, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. John was educated in the Berkeley County public school system and graduated from Berkeley High School in 1975. He went on to work at the Medical University of South Carolina as a facility operator and enlisted in the United States Army National Guard in 1978. John was a skilled carpenter and home builder. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, and being with family. His warm spirit left a lasting impact on those around him. John accepted Christ at an early age and was first a member of Moncks Corner AME Church. John was preceded in death by four brothers Rayvon Miller, Eddie Charles Miller, Keith Snipes, and Steven Allen Snipes and by his grandson, Aaron Jonathan Miller.


Eddie Charles Miller
1958-1974
Eddie Charles Miller was born in 1958 to Catherine Miller-Snipes of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. He was the third eldest son of Catherine Miller-Snipes and a cherished member of a close and loving family.
Eddie Charles lived a happy life surrounded by his siblings, sharing laughter, joy, and meaningful memories that continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. On June 4, 1974, Eddie Charles Miller tragically passed away by drowning. He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Snipes.
Eddie Charles leaves behind his beloved mother, Catherine Miller-Snipes; his brothers, Rayvon, John, Ralph, and Steven; and his sisters, Albertha, Janice, Janette, Regina, and Tawanda. He is lovingly remembered for the joy he brought into their lives and the bond he shared with his family. Though gone too soon, Eddie Charles Miller’s memory remains a treasured part of the Miller-Snipes family legacy and will forever be held close in their hearts.

Deanna Alexandria Jones-Scott 1989-2022
Deanna Alexandria Jones Scott passed away suddenly on May 3, 2022, at Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, MA. Born on October 7, 1989, in Jacksonville, NC, to Darrin C. Jones and Minister Regina Snipes Jones, she lived a life of faith and devotion. Deanna was taught to live a victorious life with the Lord. She gave her life to Christ. She joined Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church in Jacksonville, NC, and later became a member of Restoration Community Church (now Life Worship Center) in Raleigh, NC. Deanna married Brandon Lee Scott, and they had one son together. She was educated in the Onslow County Public School System and attended Allen University in Columbia, SC. Deanna enjoyed singing, cooking, sports, making music, drawing, and spending time with her son. She was preceded in death by two children, a brother, grandparents, and her father-in-law. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Brandon, son Xzayvier, parents, siblings, and extended family.
